Windows XP SP2 Professional

Windows XP is a line of operating systems developed by Microsoft for use on general-purpose computer systems, including home and business desktops, notebook computers, and media centers. The name "XP" stands for eXPerience. It was codenamed "Whistler", after Whistler, British Columbia, as many Microsoft employees skied at the Whistler-Blackcomb ski resort during its development. Windows XP is the successor to both Windows 2000 Professional and Windows Me, and is the first consumer-oriented operating system produced by Microsoft to be built on the Windows NT kernel (version 5.1) and architecture. Mother accused of leaving baby for $10

PARALLELS were once drawn between Shannon Matthews and Madeleine McCann cases, with widespread criticism that the plight of missing nine year old Shannon did not attract the same media attention as the disappearance of pretty blonde 4 year-old Madeleine.

No such charge could be leveled at the media now. The British tabloid press was ablaze yesterday with coverage of lurid allegations against Shannon's mother, Karen Matthews, claiming everything from child neglect to a report she abandoned her first child for £5 .

The News Of The World carried allegations Matthews abandoned her first baby when he was two weeks old after a street argument over a packet of cigarettes.

Mr. John Bretton, the father of the child, told the paper Matthews smoked 60 cigarettes a day even when pregnant, never cooked a meal and was too lazy even to order takeaways.

"Karen just goes from one bloke to the next, uses them to have a kid, grabs all the child benefit and moves on," he said. "That's all she wants out of it. She's had seven kids with five men and I was her first victim."

A massive police hunt was launched after Shannon went missing in February before she was found 24 days later in a bed base at the home of her stepfather's uncle less than two kilometres from her home in Dews bury, West Yorkshire.

Five members of her family have since been arrested in connection with her abduction. Matthews, 32, has been charged with child neglect and perverting the course of justice.

The Sunday Express claimed that Matthews, who is being held in custody, was pregnant with her eighth child. She has seven children by five different fathers.

A neighbour told news paper: "People keep saying that Karen is in the family way again. Given what's happened already that would be no surprise. She is a bit of a baby factory. It's rare for her not to be expecting, whichever man she is with."

In a separate development, Robert Murat, who was named as a suspect in the Madeleine McCann case, is launching one of the largest libel claims in the history of the British media, demanding a public apology and damages over the way he has been portrayed.

Murat, 34, who lived close to the apartment where Madeleine went missing, lists 11 newspapers and one TV station in his claim, said to amount up to £2 million.
