BRITNEY HOSPITALIZED AGAIN

In the middle of the night yesterday, The pop -singer Britney Spears has been hospitalized.

It all started when Spears' new psychiatrist went to her home last night and felt that she was a danger to herself and others. The cops were called and Britney was taken to UCLA Medical Center.

During the first 72 hours she cannot be forced to take medication but if she doesn't take them, her psychiatrist will ask the court to keep Spears for another 14 days.

Let's hope that she is finally going to get the help she so desperately needs.

UPDATE: According to TMZ, it is now official, the judge has just signed a "5150," meaning Britney Spears is on a three-day psychiatric hold at the UCLA Medical Center.

ADAM GILCHRIST ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

In a sensational development, Australian wicket keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist announced retirement from the test cricket. The ongoing test between India and Australia at Adelaide will be the last test match of his unlimited overs career. However, he will continue to play one-day cricket for at least two years.

Adam Gilchrist holds the world record of maximum dismissals in test cricket by a wicketkeeper with 414 (377 catches + 37 stumpings) dismissals. Anil Kumble became his 414th victim in the first innings of Adelaide test yesterday when he was playing with an amazing 87. Gilchrist had made his test debut in November 1999. Gilchrist has played 95 tests so far. He has also scored 17 centuries in his hand.

AAMIR QUITS SMOKING !!!

After the release of the blockbuster Taare Zameen Par, Aamir has been extremely appreciated by everyone. Meanwhile this new dedicated actor-turned-director has gone through a different experience. Interacting with his fans on his blog, Aamir informs that he has finally kept his promise by quitting his habit of smoking.

“Yes I have finally kicked out that bad habit. I know I know I can already hear all of you all scream and shout. I was supposed to give up on 31st. But I didn’t (which is one of the reasons I was avoiding posting). I tried my best... but I'm sorry I couldn’t then... but I have now... so please don’t give me grief... instead support me now”, says Aamir Khan ,who rocked the minds with his direction in Taare Zameen Paar.

Not just smoking, Aamir is all set to get other things back in order to make his life easy. His list includes routines like sleeping early, regular work outs, and to get back on healthy diet. Aamir wants to make his life more organized like his work. He will start working on the DVD of TZP , also on the release plan of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the next release of his production house which marks the debut of his nephew Imraan Khan.

Aamir also informs that he will start pre production work of his next film Delhi Belly which is an action comedy based in Delhi. Aamir will only produce and not direct it. Besides that he is also planning to start one more film that is yet to be titled. All this while, he will also shoot for Ghajini .

SHAUN POLLOCK ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT !

Shaun Pollock, the South Africa allrounder, has announced his retirement from international cricket following the second day's play against West Indies in Durban. The current Test, his 108th, will be his last and the one-day series that follows the final matches for his country.

"I'd like to thank Cricket South Africa for allowing me the opportunity of representing my country for the last 12 years," Pollock told a press conference after the day's play. "I thoroughly enjoy the honour and privilege of wearing the Protea badge and take with me some remarkable memories having played against some great players."

"I made the decision at the start of the season that the West Indies series would be my last," he said. "I have been fortunate to be in a team that has had the calibre of players to beat any opposition on any given day. I have made some wonderful friendships and have played against some remarkable characters."

Pollock, 34, regained his Test place for the deciding match against West Indies after not playing in the five-day game since January 2007. He currently stands on 420 Test wickets, the most by a South African, and 387 in ODIs. There is a chance he will finish with 400 in both forms depending on his success in the one-day series against West Indies.

Pollock was thrust into the captaincy of South Africa in April 2000 when Hansie Cronje was drummed out of the game, and he faced the biggest challenge of his career - to lift a shocked and demoralised South African side. However, after a solid start to his captaincy, he lost some credibility after a 3-0 drubbing in Australia in 2001-02, and was later blamed for South Africa's disastrous World Cup in which they failed to qualify for the Super Sixes.

As a result, Pollock immediately lost the captaincy and was replaced by Graeme Smith. Though his nagging brilliance around offstump remained, his pace and ability to take wickets at the top of the order dipped in latter years.

SACHIN'S ADVICE FOR YUVI

Yuvraj Singh has been asked to bowl in order to improve his batting and he takes this advice rather seriously as it comes from none other than Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar spent a great deal of time in the nets with the left-hander before the start of the three-day game in order to put the exciting stroke-player back on track.

Yuvraj has been an utter failure in the series so far, struggling to last a dozen deliveries, and Tendulkar believed his advice to the princely left-hander can no longer wait.

Tendulkar, it is now known, wanted Yuvraj to bowl a fair deal in the nets and in side games in order to gauge the bounce on Australian pitches.

Yuvraj still has not come to terms with the conditions in Australia and Tendulkar offered a lot of advice for him to overcome the problem.

The Punjab batsman has been adviced not to go for his shots as soon as he comes to the crease on these wickets.

Tendulkar apparently has told him that even he in 1991-92, allowed a lot of deliveries to go before starting to play aggressive shots.

Tendulkar cited the example of his unbeaten 154 in Sydney where he did not go for hook or pull shots even when he was in his 90s.

"At least, don't go for your horizontal shots till you are truly in," Tendulkar is believed to have told Yuvraj.

The veteran cricketer has also noticed that Yuvraj's front leg is going too much across towards covers which is leaving him locked at the point of playing shots.

The option to thrust his front leg forward towards mid-off has been suggested.

This particular problem of Yuvraj has been accentuated against the spinners.

Yuvraj has also been identified to be showing a tendency to jab at deliveries, rather than flowing into his shots. It is not allowing him the necessary control on his strokes.

Tendulkar's sanguine advice apparently did not quite work for Yuvraj who suffered another failure in the first innings of the three-day game against the Australian Capital Territory Invitational Eleven on Thursday.

Yuvraj made just two and when it came to bowling, sent down only five overs in yet another listless display.

Former captain Rahul Dravid does not want to lose hope on Yuvraj and believes the second innings of the game offers him another chance to return to form.

"He still can do well in the second innings. It was only two Tests before when he had hit that big century (169 in Bangalore against Pakistan).

NO POLLS IN BENAZIR'S CONSTITUENCY

Pakistan's Election Commission on Friday cancelled the polls in the constituency in southern Sindh province from which slain former- premier Benazir Bhutto was seeking to enter the lower house of Parliament.

"The election process was terminated in National Assembly 207 Larkana-cum-Shikarpur in Sindh due to the death of the leader Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto," the Commission said in a statement.

No fresh date was announced for polls in that constituency.

"As such, fresh proceedings will commence after this election schedule for the said constituencies is announced by the Election Commission, in due course of time and in due process of law," the statement said.

Bhutto was assassinated in Rawalpindi after addressing an election meeting on December 27 by somebody that was still a blurred one. In the aftermath of violent protests against her killing, the Election Commission postponed the parliamentary polls from Jan 8 to February 18.

Election Commission Secretary Kanwar Dilshad said the remaining candidates would not be required to file fresh nomination papers but fresh candidates would be given a chance to file papers.

Polls were also cancelled in a constituency of the assembly of the North West Frontier Province due to killing of a candidate in bomb attack.

Miangul Asfandyar Amir Zeb, a candidate who backed President Pervez Musharraf , was killed with eight others when his car was targeted with a remote controlled bomb in the troubled Swat valley last week in pakistan.

The king Shahjahan earlier decided to build two Taj mahals ,one with white marble and the other one with black marble on both sides of the river Jamuna and also want to bulid a bridge made of gold to connect the two mahals. But after finishing the White Taj mahal (one among the seven wonders of the world) he was arrested by his son Aurangezeeb and so he failed to fulfill his dream. He bought Gold for 4600 crores at that time to paint some designs inside Tajmahal. (At that time one gram of gold costs less than a rupee). This is amazing right? If he could built the black Taj mahal ,then it will be the best wonder all over the world
