NEW ZEALEND DEFEATS KENYE BY 9 WICKETS

New Zealand defeated Kenya by 9 wickets in the first Group C match in the ICC World Twenty20 CHAMPIONSHIP. Mark Gillespie was adjudged man-of-the-match for his bowling figures of 4/7.

New Zealand achieved the target of 74 runs in just 7.4 overs; McCullum was unbeaten on 16 and Fulton on 21. Earlier, Vincent scored 27 off just 20 balls.

Earlier, the New Zealand bowlers came out with a purpose when their World Twenty20 campaign got underway at Kingsmead in Durban. The Kenyan side was shot out for a mediocre total of just 73 runs in a matter of 16.5 overs.

It also goes down in history books as the lowest total registered in a Twenty20 international match. The Kiwi side led by Daniel Vettori will have to chase down just 74 runs to secure a comfortable victory.

Mark Gillespie and Shane Bond took six wickets between them. The two fast bowlers ripped through the Kenyan top order, taking four wickets in the first two overs. The Kenyan score at the end of two overs was 1 run for the loss of four wickets.

The Kenyan innings comprised of six ducks, Gillespie ended with figures of 4/7 and Bond with 2/12... The match between pakistan and kenya will start in 10 minutes...hope it'll be interesting.
