Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $100,000 to help build the first modern medical facility in Sudan called “The Duk Lost Boys Clinic.”
The donation was made through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation and will go directly to to Direct Change, a nonprofit that raises financial support for grassroots projects in Africa.
Said John Dau, the Director of Direct Change’s Sudan Project, “Words cannot express my gratitude and gratitude of the people of Duk County Sudan. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt demonstrate the American spirit of generosity. Hopefully, their donation will inspire others to join with us to rebuild southern Sudan.”
Dau’s story was featured in the documentary God Grew Tired of Us, which Brad executive produced. This facility is scheduled to open later this spring and serve upwards of 150,000 people.
