Nano to hit soon !

Hi friends ,it has been a big wait for the world's cheapest car and cool car and the Nano will be in showrooms in this march.
No car has evoked so much global attention so far as the Nano from Tata Motors. More than one year after its high decibel launch in India and an acrimonious exit from Singur in West Bengal, the car is ready to hit the showroom soon.
It will be launched on March 23rd and bookings will start in the first week of April 2009.
The first Nano is likely to be on the road in the month of May. But do not expect a full launch. The main factory in Gujarat will begin production by the end of this year or early next year while the first cars will come from the Uttaranchal plant . The Tata Nano fans are happy even if there is not enough for everyone.
The Competition is also watching this closely. As Hyundai is promising a cheaper car by 2011 and Maruti is planning a new Alto that will match the price of this high end Nano.
